Gilray Plant manufactures its 13ft (3.9m) scaffold boards in-house. All our boards are made to the exacting standards of BS 2482:2009 and come with Gilray Plant’s BSI Kitemark license number. All the timber used in the manufacture of our 13ft/3.9m scaffold boards is European Spruce which is machine-stress-graded and comes with Chain of Custody certification for both the PEFC & FSC schemes.
Scaffold boards are available in standard industry sizes: 3.9m (13ft), 10ft (3m), 2.4m (8ft). We can manufacture customised branded and banded boards with your company’s name on them. Boards can be made to support 1.2m or 1.5m. Nail-plating is another service we offer and fire-retardant boards are also available. Please note that they are not available to buy on-line, but if you call Gilray on 01322 442006, we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
As part of the BSI Kitemarking process, Gilray’s team of board producers undergo training by an external provider every six months, after which their skills and work are audited by the BSI’s own auditor. Once the scaffold boards come off the assembly line, the boards are then “tapped up” individually, thereby ensuring that any loose nails are noticed and rectified.
